Tabernacle Youth Reconnect (TYRE)

Honoring Legacy. Rekindling Fellowship. Serving Haiti.

Founded in April 2021, TYRE brings together nearly 30 former youth group members from our home church in Haiti. What began as a tribute to Pastor Esperance and Sister Marianne Julsaint—whose teachings shaped our lives—quickly became a movement of reconnection and purpose.

Since then, we’ve donated $5,200 to support local education and church initiatives, and we continue to show up for our community through acts of kindness and solidarity. We believe that even small gestures, offered in unity, can spark transformation.

Together, we serve with joy, remembering that God uses willing hearts to bless generations.

Église Baptiste du Tabernacle (Tabernacle Baptist Church)  -  the journey

An Acrostic Poem by Brother Joel Dort

This original French poem was written by our brother in Christ, Joel Dort, as a heartfelt tribute to our former church, Église Baptiste du Tabernacle. Each line begins with a letter from the word TABERNACLE, forming an acrostic that reflects the spirit and memories of our youth.

We’ve included a simple English translation below, and invite you to read the original French version on our [French page].

There, we gathered—young and old

All at the feet of those who taught us

Bold biblical truths that stirred our hearts

Enthusiastic, never weary

Resilient, full of youthful vigor

No obstacle could shake our fellowship

Amazing were the times we shared

Cherishing tender moments together

Learning wisdom’s principles

Experiencing unforgettable days of youth

When God Starts With You

When God starts with you,
He begins in the quiet places—
the places you avoid,
the corners you defend,
the rooms you keep dim so no one sees.

He kneels beside you
as you kneel before Him,
and the heartache you cannot name
becomes the doorway He walks through.

He touches the hidden things—
the idols you didn’t recognize,
the strongholds you learned to live with,
the compromises that felt small
until His light exposed their size.

And when His truth rises,
it rises first in you.
Before it shakes the nations,
before it awakens the Church,
before it calls prodigals home—
it calls
you to return.

For the God who reveals
is the God who restores.
The God who convicts
is the God who embraces.
The God who uncovers
is the God who heals.

And as He works in you,
He widens the circle.
What was hidden in the heart
becomes visible in the world.
What was tolerated in the pews
is confronted by His Word.
What was cultural
is sifted from what is holy.

You begin to see—
the noise, the politics, the confusion
were never the message.
They were the backdrop
for a Father calling His children home.

Grace again and again—
That is His rhythm.
Relentless love,
pursuing, awakening, restoring.

Some will hear and return.
Some will see and repent.
Some will harden,
as in the days of Noah.

But to the one who feels the stirring,
the one who senses the shift,
the one who knows He is speaking—
The invitation remains:

Come home.
Come back to the Father.
Let Him start with you.
